As the Cleveland Browns finish up OTA workouts today, the Cleveland Browns release the first look of HBO’s Hard Knocks footage captured at the team’s training facilities. While mandatory minicamps won’t start until next week, HBO’s cameras are already filming all of the stories playing out in Cleveland before the 2018 season. Who will replace Joe Thomas? How does Baker Mayfield acclimate to the NFL? Can Hue Jackson improve the 1-31 record he has earned over the past two seasons as head coach?

While only a short preview is shown here, one can only assume that the quarterback situation will take a spotlight during this year’s season of the show. However, the collection of short clips shown in the preview also shows that the HBO cameras are following all of the storylines surrounding the Browns. One area of interest is the position battles with the number of acquisitions that Cleveland has made this offseason.
Not only are there nine draft picks that the Browns are bringing aboard, general manager John Dorsey made a number of trades and free agents signings, bringing a large list of new faces to Cleveland. The list non-draft pick acquisitions include receiver Jarvis Landry, quarterback Tyrod Taylor, defensive back Damarious Randall and linebacker Mychal Kendricks. Kendricks was just added earlier this week, providing more competition to the linebacker area of the defense while adding more reliability and strength to the defense.
Which storyline are you most interested in? Does Tyrod Taylor bring some form of stability to Cleveland’s offense in 2018? Or does Baker Mayfield cause Hue Jackson to consider starting a rookie quarterback in week one two years in a row?
